Press Release

Hamburg, March 25th 2022 - public imaging acquires a new account in international asset management: the Hamburg-based financial communications agency is now advising Wellington Management on strategic and operational communications. The primary target markets for the focused PR activities for third-party sales, global wealth management and institutional clients are initially Germany and Austria.

The globally active investment company with roots in the USA is managed as a private partnership with long-term orientation and a focus on the independence of individual investment teams. The asset manager is ranked third among large firms in the latest SCOPE ranking (Q1 2022) and manages more than 1.4 trillion US-Dollars for pension funds, insurers, family offices, global asset managers, fund distributors, pension funds, corporations and foundations. With more than 900 investment professionals in global investment hubs, Wellington Management provides extensive multidisciplinary research resources to its independent investment teams, who make their own decisions in an entrepreneurial boutique environment. This enables the firm to cover virtually all segments of the global capital markets, including equities, fixed income, multi-asset, sustainable investments and alternative strategies.

Wellington Management has been working with German institutional clients since 1994 and opened its first German office over ten years ago. In June 2019, this was renamed Wellington Management Europe GmbH and has a §15 WpIG licence. Currently, 20 employees work in the areas of client acquisition and support, product and portfolio management, compliance, marketing, risk management and information security.

Continued growth in the German-speaking region
"For more than ten years, we have successfully grown locally with our clients in Germany, especially in institutional business. Now is the time for the next step. We are continuing to drive our growth in the German-speaking market and are expanding our range of mutual funds, especially in the wholesale segment", says Susanne Ballauff, Head of Germany at Wellington Management. "For example, in the area of sustainable and alternative strategies. Clients are increasingly interested in new asset classes.
Being close to our target groups is important to us - also in professional media relations. With public imaging we now have a strong partner with more than 25 years of expertise in this industry at our side", says Ballauff.

"Wellington Management is one of the world's largest independent asset management companies and represents an outstanding new addition to our client base", says Caroline Chojnowski, Business

Development Manager at public imaging. "Together, we will continuously sharpen the profile in the German-speaking region as an independently operating asset manager with distinct skills, amongst others for sustainable capital investments as well as alternative investments. For an efficient dialogue with the media and target groups, innovative content solutions as well as our self-developed PR and data tools are applied in addition to well-prepared specialist topics - thus we make the results of modern communication transparent and measurable."
